You Can Now Hold Foreign Currencies in Your Personal Non-Registered Cash Accounts

In addition to Canadian and U.S. dollars, you can now hold eight foreign currencies in your personal non-registered cash investment accounts.

  • Hold Hong Kong Dollars (HKD), Great Britain Pounds (GBP), Euros (EUR), Swiss Francs (CHF), Singapore Dollars (SGD), Australian Dollars (AUD), New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and Japanese Yen (JPY) in your personal non-registered RBC Direct Investing cash accounts.
  • Transfer HKD, GBP and EUR for free—online and in real timeLegal Disclaimer footnote 3—between your RBC Direct Investing cash accounts or your RBC Royal Bank foreign currency account (FCA) and RBC Direct Investing cash account.
  • Unlike Canadian and U.S. funds, online foreign currency transfers have daily limits per account as outlined below.
